So far I have writen around 6 chapters and have enjoyed doing it so far. Following is the original story plot that I wrote. Some things have changed but this will give you an idea of my vision and the details behind my book.
The Rights of Chaos ™
Story
A long time ago in the realm of Caldor the lands were ruled by a gruesome and violent race known as the Dragen also known as the bearers of Chaos. Little is known of this unholy and hostile race, except that they were bloodthirsty and enjoyed feeding on any other creature be it animal or human. These of course were just idle campfire stories, old folk tales or tales to scare misbehaving children. Who would of thought that in these idle stories was a sincere and horrible truth? The Dragen did exist or more to the point still do. The Dragen live there lives to chaos, Chaos in the way that everything must end to create something new, death = life in essence but they take It to such a level that they want to destroy everything believing that that is the way it should be.
The story goes that a long time ago an ancient race had been in a long and arduous war with the Dragen their name at this time is unknown, after many centuries of this ravenous war this unknown race found a way to seal away this great evil. Unfortunately this mystical race also disappeared after time and all that is left in their place is the wondrous and fantastic ruins of their empire, holding hidden secrets and wondrous magic and technology. There is no clue to how this race managed to imprison the Dragen but what is known is that has something to do with the magical scroll known as “Hu Empoy Sio” translated roughly to The Rights of Chaos. The scroll is a mysterious item and little is known about its contents or whereabouts but what is known is that it does exist and many adventurers and scholars have attempted to find this item but all have failed.
The stories that tell of the scrolls power is varied, some believe it has the power of the gods, enabling creation and destruction of all living and natural things; others believe it is a great weapon. The most heard rumour is that who ever owns this mystic and magical scroll will obtain a power so immense that all your dreams and ambitions come true. None of these stories, although wonderful, are true. The only truth of the scroll is that it is used to open a gateway. A gateway to the realm that the Dragen were banished to all those centuries ago, and the only thing that the scroll would bring is devastation and chaos.
The story to be told is that of Duke Karnis and his aspirations and visions of the Scroll, its power and location. It also tells the story of a band of men who believe in expelling the menace known as Karnis from their lands and reverting it to the peaceful and even-handed lands it was once before under the reign of the Dukes father. These men get pulled into the path of Karnis’ aspirations, becoming the only thing to stop the gateway from being opened and the terror and anguish that this evil race would create. Unfortunately they will fail in their task and will have to attempt to ally the surrounding kingdoms. The Dragen will establish control over the geldars and make plans to engage and destroy the surrounding realms. Jaemon's request for support isn’t so easily answered. The city of Dranor is willing to ally with the surviving members of the resistance movement but don’t have enough forces or resources to fully oppose the power of the Dragen. The Rykorian’s on the other hand aren’t willing to help and are preparing to leave the lands and head back to the lands they first came from. They believe that the Dragen will have heavy losses when they attack Dranor making their assault on Rykoria easier to defeat. Jaemon tries to argue saying the Dragen will not stop until they have control over the whole land, and continue on over the whole world. The Rykorians want to know why this simple human is so passionate about the alliance and decide to put him through a series of tests. A test of strength, a test of will, a test of courage, a test of love and finally and most importantly a test of mercy and forgiveness.
